Amy Black may live in Massachusetts but her
influences, like her roots, are clearly from below the
Mason-Dixon line. Her live performances cover the styles and
traditional themes of American music: loving, lying, drinking,
dying and going to heaven but not necessarily that
order. She writes and performs her own music and weaves
classics by her influences, including Loretta Lynn, Bonnie
Raitt, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings into her show.
