Cindy Bullens has been called "the female Bruce Springsteen," and though she
might shake her head if you mention it, there is good reason for this
comparison. A 30-year veteran of the music biz, playing solo or accompanied by
her band, Cindy still rocks the house like nobody's business!
In 1974, Cindy Bullens' career got a big kick start when she was ballsy enough
to crash a party and convince Elton John she should be his back up singer. She
accompanied John on multiple world wide tours and they remain friend to this
day. She has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, one for her work on the
Grease movie soundtrack, and one for her first solo album "Desire Wire". Since
then she released six more acclaimed solo albums, including the award winning
"Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth", and has collaborated on a Broadway show
and scored an award winning documentary. Cindy continues to write and record her
own work but in 2007, Cindy joined up with fellow singer/ songwriters Wendy
Waldman and Deborah Holland to form the folk super-trio The Refugees. They
released one critically acclaimed CD and are preparing to record their second in
2010.
Cindy solo career is alive and well and she is now recording her 8th solo CD for
release in the spring of 2010
