Multi-instrumentalist/popsmith Jim Boggiais the kind of hyper-kinetic guy who may never need an iPod because he’s already got instant recall of practically every song he’s ever heard and loved. Like a digital player permanently set in shuffle mode, he accesses riffs and rhymes with a sort of free-associative glee.
Jim’s unabashed love for pop music of all sorts  the cool, the classic, the corny  informs his own meticulously constructed, immediately engaging songs. But he’s more than just a facile craftsman; his songs are deeper, sometimes darker and more seriously romantic than his pop-trivia playfulness might suggest. Once you’ve finished admiring his vintage-sounding arrangements, you can start appreciating the very contemporary emotions he’s describing.

Boggia has gained impressive career momentum in a short amount of time. Blackberry selected his track “Live the Proof” for a new television commercial and his songs have also been featured on MTV's Real World and ABC-TV's Men In Trees. He's developed a loyal grass-roots fan base for his dynamic, improvisational live shows. His work has been embraced by numerous fellow artists and kindred spirits, many of who have lent their talents to Boggia's albums.
His acclaimed sophomore release, Safe In Sound, featured key contributions from such notable admirers as Aimee Mann, Jill Sobule, MC5 guitar hero Wayne Kramer, Attractions drummer Pete Thomas and legendary '70s cult-pop icon Emitt Rhodes. His latest CD, Misadventures In Stereo, was mastered at London’s Abbey Road studios features a collaboration with Tony Asher, legendary lyricist of the Beach Boys landmark Pet Sounds
