TAXI CHAIN is a rich blend of homemade songs, bagpipe riffs, blues tunes, American funk, Celtic reels... the highland bagpipe as seen through the quirky introspective analysis of an Ontario rebel. TAXI CHAIN plays no one specific kind of music. It's a band that celebrates the roots of Roots Music. It twists and weaves elements from all the musical genres it cherishes. Can't the Canadians just be content rubbing our noses in their free health care? Must they demonstrate again they understand the whole beauty of Americana better then most Americans artists New roots music, rhythm and pipes, blues pipe, bagpipe funk, funk'n blow, reel'n roll, bagpipe R&B... however you try to define it, the live show always comes up aces, and that's where it counts. The unique sound of TAXI CHAIN stems from the unlikely pairing of a slippery and soulful saxophone with the downright brashness of Coppins' bagpipe.
